NorCross HawkEye F33P Fish Finder Review
For many fishermen, catching the fish is just half the battle. In fact, many anglers experience more trouble locating the fish than ensnaring them. Fortunately, you can make the process of finding the fish far easier for you by using a fish finder unit. One popular handheld unit among anglers is the NorCross HawkEye F33P.
Since the NorCross HawkEye F33P is a handheld device, it shouldn’t be a surprise that the unit has a rather small screen. Measured diagonally, the display measures at approximately 2.3 inches. Fortunately, the impressive 160 x 132 resolution more than makes up for the rather tiny size of the screen.
This fish finder’s display was done for the outdoors, so everything will be clear to you, whether you’re in the shade or the direct sunlight. Due to the LCD protector and the backlit display, you won’t have to deal with any condensation or eye strain.
Floating Sonar Sensor
The NorCross HawkEye F33P Fish finder utilizes the floating sonar sensor to detect fish below your boat. The unit uses a sonar beam angle that is approximately 25 degrees. The extreme width of this sonar beam angle enables the fish finder unit to deliver accurate readings of structure, depth, and fish from down to about 100 feet.
Unlike most fish finder units, the NorCross HawkEye F33P has multiple sensitivity settings. There is a total of four sensitivity settings. The concept is rather straightforward and simple. If you decide to increase the sensitivity, the screen will display smaller details and a broader view. Therefore, you will be able to see most of the debris and clutter in the water. Overall, sensitivity is useful if the waters you’re fishing in aren’t clear in the least.
