Featuring a sit-inside hull design to provide the angler better protection from the elements combined with their patented “Elite” seating system which consists of a fabric covering stretched over a rigid metal frame that enables the paddler to choose either the low position for increased stability or the high position for increased visibility and maneuverability as well as adjustable foot braces to enable the kayak to accommodate different sized anglers, this kayak has a very comfortable command and control center.

Also of major importance, there is a wide, unobstructed, standing platform molded into the bilge forward of the seat and the cockpit has rod stagers along the wall with tubular rod tip protectors to keep your rods organized which is a definite plus in addition to a side-wall tackle storage system to help keep your gear organized which I like a well.

Furthermore, although this is a sit-inside kayak, it has a huge cockpit opening that extends not only in front of the seat but behind it as well so that you have a space similar to a tank well where you can carry a cooler or a live bait well. However, the cockpit opening is also designed to accept a series of “Tech Decks” ranging from a nylon sunscreen to a rigid fishing deck and because the cockpit opening is symmetrical, any tech deck will fit either forward or aft of the cockpit.

Plus, it comes with both hard fishing deck and a soft spray skirt so that you can mix and match them as you please and purchase additional decks to arrange it as you please. Another feature that I really like is the stand-assist strap which is almost a necessity in a sit-inside fishing kayak since it makes standing up and sitting down again much easier.

Furthermore, there are four (one on either gunwale forward and aft of the seat) Yak Attack Spectralite Gear Tracks that work in conjunction with the several included RAM mounts and a GoPro mounts so that you have the option of mounting your tech on the had deck or the gear tracks; whichever you like. Last, it should be noted that even though this kayak is a sit-inside design, it lacks dry storage space in the bow but does have a small hold in the stern that is accessible via a hatch.

Although I do have a distinct preference for sit-inside kayaks as opposed to sit-on-top kayaks, there is another model of sit-inside kayak made by Wilderness Systems (which I will review in another article) that I would personally purchase over this one.

But, that is not to say that you should not purchase one because, as long as it meets your needs, I am quite certain that you would be very pleased with it because of its many fine features.
