We here at GWA have a bit of a soft spot for British start-ups, and it always layers on the fuzzy feeling of well-being when those start-ups produce good kit.
True Mountain fit that mould. Started by a chap called Tim who used to work at TrekMates and Montane he has good outdoor pedigree – they are starting out with a small, but perfectly formed range of home grown outdoor products – that are 100% UK based from the materials to the manufacturing.
This Über lightweight windproof caught our eye at the recent Outdoor Trade Show (OTS) Made from ‘Airblock’ fabric in the body, with ‘Airflow’ sections under the arms and down the side (the pinky sections in our picture) it should be great for runners and for keeping the wind off when you get to a summit and want to stop and admire the view.
The attention to detail on the contrasting coloured stitching and zip make this jacket look great. Even the subtle logo placement on the top of the zip passed our very picky Admin’s criteria on such things.
The jacket will be available next year, and they are aiming to offer it in 7 striking colour ways.
