It has a widely spaced screw thread and O-ring combination top which seal very easily and don’t require He-Man proportions of muscle to open or close successfully. A vigorous shaking, rolling and chucking around the garden proved to me that once shut only the desire to open it would reveal its contents and my clothes in my pack would be safe from the odour of chicken soup.

Primus – EtaPower Pot 1L

The main pot has a capacity of a litre (plus boiling room) and is fitted with a pair of fold-away rubber-coated handles which are very sturdy and pretty comfortable to use. The ‘lid’ of the Pot is actually a second pan which could be used for making scrambled eggs for one, or heating a portion of beans. It also works remarkably well as a lid, keeping that heating efficiency to a maximum.

All-in-one is the new vogue, and the revolution led by Jetboil has spawned a number of flattering siblings. This one from Primus is the Scandiwegian supermodel cousin, honed from exotic metals and finished in a crisp and clean look which I think leaves its rivals looking a touch bloated in some ways.
