The clever design folk over at Osprey have added their AntiGravity backsystem to the Poco child carrier. We here at GWA HQ got a sneak peek of this new set-up at the Outdoor Show in Friedrichshafen last year. It has now been released for the great British public to enjoy, and enjoy it we think you will.
The AntiGravity 3D suspended mesh back system used on this Poco carrier was inspired by Osprey’s award-winning Atmos/Aura AG series, meaning that the Poco AG now offers higher levels of comfort and ventilation than ever before. Osprey founder and Chief Designer Mike Pfotenhauer explains why the AntiGravityTM technology is an especially good fit for the new Poco system:
“With the AG backsystem the Poco can be switched between mum and dad offering unparalleled levels of ventilation. It’s easily adjustable compared to other backsystems because there is less structure up against the body. ”
Effectively it has been designed with three people in mind, the back system and floating child saddle are adjustable to suit both parents and child. Child safety is at the forefront of the design and this product has the Geprüfte Sicherheit mark from TÜV to prove it.
In warmer weather the suspended mesh zones in the back panel and child’s seating area really come into their own and give the wearer, and child high levels of ventilation. It’s also the world’s first child carrier to feature a fully-ventilated hipbelt.
A raincover and SPF50 rated sunshade are included, so that you’re prepared for rain or shine.Osprey reckon it is the safest, most comfortable and best ventilated child carrier that’s ever been made. We here at GWA were certainly very impressed by it and can see it being a popular choice with outdoor loving mum and dads..
