OS Most Trodden Paths Artwork

Ordnance Survey has released a stunning set of images which overlay 10-years’ worth of walks plotted on its online software to make some incredible line art.

If you love poring over maps – and who doesn’t? – then you’ll be able to recognise some of the tracks without there being any names or features on the art. Can you spot the lake shore in this one from Ambleside?

This is right up our street as a piece of non-abstract art. We’d even be tempted to part with some hard-earned to get large versions for our office walls.

I mean, just LOOK at them! They’re glorious.

There are more on the OS Flickr page, and some more information about the project on their website, here.

We’re waiting to hear back from OS about whether prints will be released for purchase.
