Haglofs gains a century

Haglofs was started in a little cottage in Torsang, Sweden by Wiktor Haglof, who stitched up a load of backpacks, attached them to his bicycle and hoped to sell them to local farmers and foresters. The rest, as they say, is history.

What started with Wiktor’s backpack is now a business of over 500 products, including sleeping bags, clothing and of course packs.  The business now covers the whole of Scandinavia, Europe And Japan.

To celebrate this milestone the team in Sweden came up with the special Ryggsack No.1, produced solely from products made in Sweden and based on Wiktor’s original design. You can read more about the company and the commemorative bag here.

We here at GWA HQ would like to wish Haglofs a very happy 100th birthday!
