The material isn’t as light as a lot of wicking-style tops are, so it holds up better when confronted with brambles and similar. It will snag eventually of course, it’s not utterly immune, but not quite as easily as a lot of its contemporaries. I’ve mentioned previously that I have a habit of buying men’s walking jackets as I find most women’s too short, so this is a really pleasant change – it’s 178cm, which means it’s long enough to sit down in and be able to sit on the material, rather than the more usual approach where whatever soggy bit of wood you’ve found to perch on wicks water slowly up through your trousers towards your nether regions.

Keela – Sherpa Jacket

Warmth is not an issue with the Primaloft insulation under the windproof outer shell, it kept me comfortably warm on some chilly ambles with the dog. With a bit more exertion I think the breathability of the materials should keep the sweat levels down. Should you get too hot with it on it shouldn’t be a problem to stuff it into your rucksack with it adding very little weight.
