Add space to your camper van with Outwell

Well known family camping brand Outwell has applied its tent making expertise to a range of drive-away awnings for the smaller motorhome and camper van.

The range features 3 collections and allows the 4 wheeled camper to add a living space and extra bedrooms to their vehicle. The range is made from Outtex 4000 – a specially commissioned fabric with a 4,000mm hydrostatic head. The awnings are designed to be simple to erect and can handily be left freestanding to allow for your vehicle to be used for trips out and about.

The three new 2015 collections comprise the Smart Air Touring, Touring and Cruising models. Standard models have an attachment height of 170cm–220cm while the handy Tall options on some models increase this to 240cm-290cm – useful for those leggier folk amongst us.

As you would expect from a brand like Outwell, all models feature optional extras like:

  • Footprint and carpet.
  • Simple erection with both Touring Collections using the Outwell Easy Pegging System – this is the proven way to ensure the right pegs are used for the right job. Simple, but highly effective, three types of pegs are used to anchor specific areas of the awning.
  • Luminous pre-attached guy lines.
  • Large windows – tinted in both Touring Collections.
  • Link Access Zone System that closes the connecting gap between vehicle and an awning
  • Outwell Sealed Ground System that attaches groundsheet to awning for maximum protection from draughts and bugs.
  • Additional weather protection in both Touring Collections is provided by Rain Safe door and porch options.

outwellStability and safety are key and all drive-away awnings are tested at the Outwell in-house test facilities to ensure that, if correctly erected, they will withstand storms and driving rain. The pole-based Touring and Crusing Collections also feature the Outwell Wind Stabilizer System –  this directly attaches outer, pole and guyline to create superb strength and stability in high winds. Impressively the Touring and Crusing awnings have been tested to withstand a minimum of a Force Nine gale.

Prices start at just £249. For more information and details on the various models available visit the Outwell website
