GearWeAre uses a unique and simple way of rating each product.
Ratings are an indication of how a product made us feel – how much it improved our experience and enjoyment of the outdoors.
Long term readers of GearWeAre may remember that we had a hammer-rating system. We’ve removed this because we felt that the difference between good and excellent gear was becoming too narrow and we needed a clearer guide. Hopefully the more descriptive ratings in place now will help.
Remember that all reviews are subjective and you’d be foolish to base a purchasing decision on a single review. We strongly encourage you to search out other reviews and the opinions of retail staff and users for all gear purchases.
